In this video, we’re going to create a model of a barrel inside of Blender!

We’ll create the geometry, then use the sculpt tool to add irrugularities, and the shader toolset to add materials to our model!

  • Start with a cylinder – reduce the number of edges to 12
  • Move up 1 meter – G, Z
  • Edit mode – move face up – G, Z
  • Add edge loops – Shift R
  • Scale barrel up by selecting central face loop (Face Mode, Alt Click, S)
  • Bevel Edges in Middle to create a face – CTRL B
  • Add Edge Loops – Top and Bottom – CTRL R
  • Extrude/Scale Loops – CTRL E, S, Shift Z
